Swim-A-Thon Forms
Swim-A-Thon
Villagers raise money for charity and their neighborhood summer swim team by participating in a Swim-A-Thon in June of every season. Swimmers collect pledges from friends and family during the week before Swim-A-Thon. Pledges are either per lap or flat rate donations. Swimmers set personal swimming goals and swim as many laps as possible during a 45 to 60 minute period of time on a predetermined day in June. Sponsors pledge a per lap amount or make a flat donation to the team. A portion of the money raised from this event will goes towards a charity. The additional money raised allows the team to purchase equipment, keep registration fees low and provide trophies, team pictures, and team shirts to each swimmer at no additional cost. We like to see every swimmer participate and swim at least two laps. Prizes are earned for top fundraisers. The Swim A Thon has been a Villagers Tradition for many years.
