Don’t wait — once we hit our swimmer limit, we can’t make exceptions.

General Registration opens April 1st - May 31st!

Villagers are one of four teams in the Briar Forest Swim League. We are open to residents of April Village, Country Village, Heathwood, Epernay, Lakeview Forest, Village Place, Village West, and Woods of Lakeside. If you live west of Dairy Ashford, south of Westheimer, east of Wilcrest, north of Buffalo Bayou and are new to the league, you are in "open territory" and can choose the team you want to join

    ELIGIBILITY

Swimmers do not need to be experts, but they must already be able to maintain themselves independently in the water without flotation devices. To participate in a meet (by June), children MUST be able to swim the length of the pool (25 yards) freestyle in 75 seconds or less. They will have had a month of practice to accomplish this before the first meet.

    HOW MEETS WORK / VOLUNTEERING

Other than our coaches, the team is run 100% by parent volunteers! Swim meets can not happen without ALL of our parents volunteering to help with the running of meets. Dual Meets and Champs offer two shift options to accommodate working parents. Sign up now for the best spots! We need YOU to volunteer.

Swimmers sign up for meets by the RSVP deadline to be entered in the meet. RSVP for meets through the team website under “Signups.”

Much planning goes into every meet. Swimmers have a seed time for each stroke from Time Trials. Meet entries are submitted to the League in advance and the meet is seeded. Heat sheets with names, events, heats, and lanes are prepared. Heat number and lane positioning is based on seed times. No practice on meet days!

    REGISTRATION FEES

Registration fees include league insurance, league dues, team expenses, equipment, team picture, team shirt, ribbons, trophies, and talented coaches! Registration fees do not include team suits. Team suits are required for the team photo and meets. Suits are to be purchased directly from Texas Swim Shop. For convenience, they will be at our Kick Off Party in May to sell suits.
